LUNGS (Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens) lungsnyc.org,
formed in 2011, is a volunteer-run nonprofit whose purpose is to unite the community gardens in Loisaida (the Lower East Side) and the East Village. El Sol Brillante is a member garden of LUNGS with a garden member as a designated representative in LUNGS and who is also on the board of LUNGS.
